Publishing Ethics (As per COPE Guidelines)
The fact that publications appear in Swrjilu provides a solid basis for upholding high standards in scientific publishing, for increasing the public's trust in research findings, and for promoting a reliable network of knowledge. Therefore, it is necessary to set clear ethical standards for all those involved in the publication process: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers, and people associated with the journal.
Copy right constrains
Manuscripts that are sent into the journal must not have been previously published, presented, or submitted to any other journal. It is considered unethical to submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. If a manuscript has already been published, the publishers retain the legal right to take the necessary action against the author(s). When the manuscript is accepted for publication, the publisher will acquire all copyright for the paper.
Copyright
Once an article is accepted, authors must assign copy right in their article to the Publisher; this arrangement ensures the information can be widely disseminated under copyright law.
Permissions
Authors must secure written permission whenever they quote from unpublished material or when their quotation exceeds 250 words in one extract or 500 words in total from copyrighted works. They must also obtain permission before reproducing any figures or tables from unpublished or copy righted sources. If permission is needed as a result of their research, authors must obtain all necessary approvals from the appropriate authorities.
Reproducibility, Fabrication, Plagiarism and falsification of data
Researchers are expected to provide an accurate and precise account of their work so other
researchers can replicate it independently. When people invent data without carrying out the study, this is known as data fabrication; when data are altered after an experiment has been conducted, it is referred to as data falsification. Any act involving the fabrication, manipulation, or falsification of data amounts to a breach of research ethics. Swrjilu follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) if it suspects data fabrication or falsification. Plagiarism and falsification in any section of the manuscript submitted are regarded as serious breaches and must be strictly avoided.
Redundant publications
This involves producing many very similar manuscripts based on the same experiment; it may cause readers to pay less attention to your manuscripts, so you should avoid it.
Authorship and responsibility
Co-authorship must be restricted to those who have made substantial contributions to the work in a responsible and accountable way. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to make sure that only suitable co-authors are listed and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the manuscript as well as given their consent for it to be submitted.
Once a manuscript is accepted for publication in Swrjilu, all authors Declaration Form.
Conflict of Interest
must sign the Authors’
Peer-reviewed articles uphold the principles of the scientific method; therefore, authors must follow established ethical standards. Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest and state all funding sources that supported their work.
Peer-review process
Swrjilu is an international journal that uses a double-blind, peer-reviewed process. Peer
reviewers are expected to take on review assignments only for manuscripts in their area of specialist knowledge and to keep the contents and details of manuscripts and reviews strictly confidential during and after the peer-review process, except for information the journal makes public. Reviewers associated with Swrjilu must follow the COPE guidelines for peer review.
Proofs
The proofs will be sent to the corresponding author ,and the corrected proofs, together with the revised manuscript, must be returned to the publisher by email within seven days of receipt.
Citations manipulation
Authors should include in their manuscripts only those citations which are directly relevant to the work. It is unethical to add irrelevant citations, including self-citations intended to increase the number of citations. Likewise, the unnecessary citation of articles with the sole purpose of boosting the citation figures of an article or of a particular journal is strictly forbidden.
Acknowledgement of sources
Acknowledge all contributions, collaborators, and relevant sources. When funding has been given
For the publication of the article, all the sources of that funding must be disclosed. The
Declaration under the heading 'Role of the funding source' should be included in a separate
section of the text in the manuscript and appear before the References. The authors should explain the role of any research sponsors in the research design; in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of the data; in the preparation of there port; and in the decision to submit the paper for publication.
